Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital celebrates with its employees the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

In recognition of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital’s commitment to the rights of persons with disabilities and their role in the development of their society and country, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital hosted an awareness lecture on Sunday 23 December 2018 presented by Qaderoon Network. The awareness session covered the most critical steps that the hospital can take to achieve the inclusion of persons with disabilities in their workplaces. The ceremony witnessed the attendance of the employees of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital from all departments to increase and share knowledge in this field.

On occasion, Dr. Mazen Fakih, the President, expressed the hospital commitment in supporting the inclusion of persons with disabilities. He elaborated that the hospital is working through several initiatives to encourage and empower job opportunities for persons with disabilities and to include them into the hospital staff by creating a supportive working environment and accommodations at the hospital and its facilities to become accessible to all.

It is worth mentioning that the celebration is a part of the National Festival for Persons with Disabilities, which is one of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development initiatives to fulfil the National Transformation Program goals which stems from the Kingdome 2030 Vision.
